PIR

Although OHS made no changes to this year's PIR, we did add some enhancements and fixes that improve the way ChildPlus calculates your PIR. You can read about each of the PIR-related changes that we've made below.

Question/Report Description
A.25(2)

If you leave the Hispanic/Latino field blank on the participant's Application, ChildPlus will now automatically count the participant as Non-Hispanic for question A.25(2).

C.18

We modified this calculation so ChildPlus will no longer count Early Head Start participants towards question C.18 since it only applies to Head Start and Migrant PIR's.

 

We revised question C.18 so that it now includes the phrase: Since Last Year's PIR.

C.29

If you specify an alternate date for ChildPlus to use when calculating Health and Education Requirements that are due once per program, ChildPlus will now use the Other Date specified at the bottom of the Health Information tab in the Health module.

 

PIR Report 9700 - PIR We revised question C.18 so that it now includes the phrase: Since Last Year's PIR.
PIR Report 9707 - Health Services We've added subtotals to this report.
PIR Report 9713 - Children Not Counted for C.20 ChildPlus will now automatically exclude any participants whose C.20 calculation preference is set to Count from this report.

Services

We've made the following changes to these Service Area modules:

 

Area Description
Application

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was cutting off the Medicaid Number on the printed application. ChildPlus will now display up to 20 characters for this field.

 

When you click Send Message to send a LiveMessage from the Application module, ChildPlus will now sort the messages available to choose from by their report number.

Disability

Reports

Thanks to the improvements we've made to Disability reports 3501, 3502, and 3530, Disability reports are now even more capable of delivering the information you need.

 

Report 3501 - Management Report - Disabilities

We've added two new IEP/IFSP data options to this report. These new data options let you:

  • Only include IEP/IFSP records that were open for a least one day between a date range
  • Only include IEP/IFSP records for a specific primary disability

 

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was excluding the IEP/IFSP area on this report if you didn't include participants with an open IEP/IFSP on the Report Setup screen.

 

If a concern has a status of Closed, ChildPlus will now include the Closed Reason on this report.

 

We resolved an issue that was causing an error if you attempted to run this report for Enrolled and Dropped statuses with adult participants in the program.

 

We've made improvements to the way ChildPlus groups and sorts concerns to help make them easier to read on the report.

 

Report 3502 - Disability Enrollment Chart

We added a new option that lets you specify whether you want the report to count participants who have an IEP, an IFSP, or either an IEP or IFSP (the default setting).

 

 

By default, ChildPlus now also selects the Drop/Accept status on the Report Setup screen.

 

This report will no longer include data from the <None> site and classroom.

 

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was only including currently enrolled participants on this report.

 

We added a tip to the bottom of this report that reminds users that they should run report 3503 if they want to see a list of all of the participants included in the totals displayed on report 3502.

 

Report 3530 - Disability History

We added two new data options to this report. One lets you filter for IEP/IFSP records that occurred during a specific time frame. The other new option lets you filter the IEP/IFSP records included on this report by the participant's primary disability.

 

We also improved the way ChildPlus displays notes on this report. Notes will now be displayed in the same format that ChildPlus uses in the Disability module.

 

Concerns Tab

ChildPlus now displays concerns on the Concerns tab in descending order by Completion Date. We also resolved an issue that was preventing you from sorting results in the Activity Date column.

 

IFSP Tab

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was displaying an IFSP Closed message on the IFSP tab if any record was added to the IEP tab. Moving forward, ChildPlus will only display an IFSP Closed message if you add a record related to an IEP meeting.

 

Dashboard

We've resolved an issue where ChildPlus was counting dropped children in Dashboard Disability indicators.

Education

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was only letting you see providers with a type of Doctor, Dentist or Health Service for the following fields:

  • Event Provider
  • Action Provider
  • Referred to
Family Services We resolved an issue that was preventing user security settings from working properly for Module Designer modules created for the Family Services module.
Health - Add Multiple Events For single events with sub-events (for example, a well baby check or physical) added by clicking Add Multiple Events, ChildPlus will now filter the statuses available on the Add Multiple Events screen so that only the statuses that apply to the main parent event display for sub-events.
Online Application We resolved an issue that was causing an error if you attempted to add an online application for a program that has no funding source associated with it.

To-Do List

We made the following changes to the To-Do List in ChildPlus:

 

Area Description
Dashboard

We updated the description for the Family Goal Completed indicator.

 

We updated the way ChildPlus calculates the Homeless Families Acquiring Housing indicator. ChildPlus now calculates this indicator by dividing the number of homeless who acquired housing by the number of homeless participants.

To-Do List

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not emailing To-Do Lists that included events from the Admin calendar.

 

Participant names for Enrollment related To-Do List items are now using the <First Name> <Last Name> format to be consistent with other service areas.

 

ChildPlus will now display the Responsible Staff for any Attendance items included in the To-Do List.

Entry Express

We made the following changes to Entry Express in ChildPlus:

 

Area Description
Entry Express - Health We resolved an issue that was causing an error if you attempted to add an event via Entry Express - Health for a participant with no user security access to the Education module.
Entry Express for Personnel Module Designer Modules

We've added a new Include Inactive Personnel box to the screen that ChildPlus displays when you specify which staff members you want to add to a Personnel-based Module Designer module via Entry Express.

 

 

ChildPlus will now also automatically update the number of personnel selected in real time.

 

Management

We've made the following changes to these Management modules:

 

Area Description
Fees

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was duplicating Fees transactions for participants who transferred during the batch billing period.

 

ChildPlus will no longer copy over notes related to Fees when you added a new participation record from the Enrollment module.

Internal Monitoring We've added the new Health & Safety screener to Internal Monitoring. To learn more about this screener, released by OHS in November 2017, click here. Are you still using the old screener? No problem, it's still available in the system as well. We've added the release date to each screener so you can easily differentiate between the two.

 

Personnel We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was displaying inactive staff members in Module Designer modules created for the Personnel module.

Dashboard

We've made the following changes to the Dashboard in ChildPlus:

Dashboard

We resolved an issue that was preventing anyone signed in to the Admin account from seeing shared Dashboards.

 

We've resolved an issue where ChildPlus was counting dropped children in Dashboard Disability indicators.

 

We resolved an issue that was causing an error for users who included the Education - Development Assessment indicator in the Dashboard but had no assessments associated with it.

Reports

We've made the following changes to Reports in ChildPlus:

 

Report Description
LiveMessage

We resolved an issue where, if you were using the Current Time field on a LiveMessage, ChildPlus was always displaying the time in Central Time.

 

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus wasn't refreshing changes made to messages when you printed a LiveMessage from the View Individuals tab via Reports > Send Email/Text/Letter.

LiveReport We resolved an issue that was causing an error in ChildPlus if you attempted to include IEP or IFSP notes on a LiveReport.
Miscellaneous Reports

ChildPlus will now include the grouped column values when you export a Miscellaneous report to a CSV format.

 

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not displaying columns that contained a lot of text properly.

Advanced Module Designer Reports While you'll still be able to use them, you'll no longer be able to edit scripts in Advanced Module Designer reports.
1010 - Site and Classroom Listing ChildPlus now sorts program terms in descending order by Begin Date on this report.
1130 - Personnel User Defined Fields We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was listing every selected position in the header of this report. Moving forward, ChildPlus will only display the list of positions if you select ten or less. If you select more than ten positions, ChildPlus will display a count that shows the number of positions selected.
1190 - Staff Time Clock We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was enforcing Location Security inconsistently on this report.
1432 - Community Resource Attachment Listing We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not printing the Description field on this report.
2004 - Management Report - Eligibility Income We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was counting participants with the same name as the same person in totals. Moving forward, ChildPlus will count participants with the same name separately on this report.
2035 - Online Application We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not always calculating the participant's Current Age correctly on this report.
2031 - Recruitment - Age Eligible Children

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was including participants that are currently enrolled on this report.

 

We resolved an issue where grouping options were not working on this report.

2130 - Participant Notes We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not always calculating the participant's Current Age correctly on this report.
2305 - Monthly Attendance

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was no longer calculating Open Days on this report.

2336 - Attendance Works Chronic Absence Grid

We resolved an issue that was preventing the Absence Percent and Days Absent columns from sorting correctly on this report.

 

We resolved an issue where, when you ran this report for an entire program term, ChildPlus was still printing values from the Date Range filter.

 

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not letting you filter this report by Group.

 

We resolved issue where the Include dropped participants option wasn't working when you specified a Date Range on the Report Setup screen.

2516 - EHS Education Requirements We resolved an issue where, if you clicked on a participant's name on the report, ChildPlus was opening the Health module instead of the Education module.
2530 - Participant Education Summary We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not printing the date that participants were enrolled.
2535 - Latest Occurrence of Education Events We resolved an issue where, if you clicked on a participant's name on the report, ChildPlus was opening the Health module instead of the Education module.
2536 - Latest Occurrence of Education Events (Columnar)
3036 - Latest Occurrence of Health Events (Columnar) We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was displaying non-applicable filter options at the top of this report.
3310 - Immunization By Series We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not always calculating the participant's Current Age correctly on this report.
3320 - Immunization Record We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was not always calculating the participant's Current Age correctly on this report.
3330 - Immunization Status Statistics We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was counting participants with the same name as the same person in totals. Moving forward, ChildPlus will count participants with the same name separately.
3410 - Growth Charts 2 Years and Older We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was cutting off the bottom of the screen on the Individuals tab.
3501 - Management Report - Disabilities

We've added two new IEP/IFSP data options to this report. These new data options let you:

4140 - Home Visits We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was excluding any action with a Scheduled Date or Action Date that occurred on the last day that the participant was enrolled.
4310 - In-Kind Amount and Value

We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was cutting off summaries on this report.

 

We renamed the Service Type column to Service Area on this report to make it more consistent with the In-Kind module.

5420 - Individual Assessment Completion Status We resolved an issue where inactive instruments were available to select on the Report Setup screen.

9600 - CD - 9600*

 

* only available to users located in the state of California

We've updated the Spanish version of CD-9600 to reflect the changes made by the state of California. Changes to the English version of CD - 9600 were available in version 4.7.
9700 - PIR We revised question C.18 so that it now includes the phrase: Since Last Year's PIR.
9707 - Health Services We've added subtotals to this report.

Setup

We've made the following Setup changes in ChildPlus:

Setup > Module Setup > Transportation Routes We resolved an issue where, when you added a new bus rider from the Transportation Routes screen and entered their ZIP Code, ChildPlus was populating the State field with City information.
Setup > Module Setup > Add-ons We resolved an issue where ChildPlus was displaying inactive controls on event forms attached to an event type.
