Get Ready for 2-Step Verification

Starting this summer, your agency's ChildPlus data will be even more secure with 2-Step Verification. If you use social media or a cloud based email service, you've probably already used 2-Step Verification. It adds an extra layer of security and prevents unauthorized access to your account. Once 2-Step Verification is available, ChildPlus will require a unique code whenever a user attempts to log in to the system from a computer or device that ChildPlus doesn't recognize.

ChildPlus Administrators Should Start Preparing for 2-Step Verification Now

Since 2-Step Verification will be available in just a few months, we recommend that ChildPlus Administrators start preparing now. In order for 2-Step Verification to work, every ChildPlus user will need a valid email address (either Work or Home) or mobile phone number associated with their Personnel record in ChildPlus. It is absolutely critical that every ChildPlus user has a valid email address or phone number associated with their Personnel record. Users who are missing this information will eventually be unable to sign in to ChildPlus.

Get Started with Report 1049 - User Verification

We created report 1049 - User Verification to help ChildPlus Administrators prepare for 2-Step Verification. You can run this report in ChildPlus now to quickly identify which staff members are missing an email address or mobile phone number. Once users who are missing this critical contact information are identified, ChildPlus Administrators can add missing contact information for each user via Management > Personnel. ChildPlus Administrators can also use report 1049 - User Verification to verify that they have the correct email address and phone number for each ChildPlus user.
