Thank you for your interest in the Cherokee Nation Early Childhood Program. We serve all children 3 - 4 years old in Head Start and 6 weeks - 3 years in Early Head Start. To be able to determine full program eligibility, we will need the following documents to complete your in-take application: 1. SNAP, SSI, Foster paperwork, Displaced Housing, if applicable. 2. Child's Birth Record (ex. Birth Certificate, Crib Card, or Birth Letter from Hospital) 3. Updated Immunization Record 4. Cherokee Nation or Federally Recognized Tribal Citizenship Card for child or parent (If applicable) Documents can be hand delivered to the ECU Main Office or a local HS/EHS Center, e-mailed to ECUapplication@cherokee.org, or faxed to (918)772-4071. Applications will not be screened until all documents are received.

Thank you for submitting an application for the Cherokee Nation Early Childhood Unit Head Start & Early Head Start program. Your in-take application will be evaluated for eligibility of acceptance and you will be receiving a letter in the mail within 2 weeks. Applications are screened and prioritized for enrollment opportunities & will remain on file for one (1) year. All children accepted for enrollment must submit a completed physical and dental upon entry into the program. If an application is on file, please contact the office to ensure the most current address and phone number are listed.
