Welcome to the Fredericksburg Preschool Programs online Application. Thank you for your interest in applying for our program. If you had a child enrolled in our program, current, past, or previously applied please bring in updated verification documents(birth, income and address). First-time applicants, please complete the information below and a staff member will be in contact with you to set-up a face-to-face interview. After you have completed your application, please fax, mail, upload to our website, or bring your documents to our Fredericksburg or King George Site. Drop Box is location at the Fredericksburg site.

For all Preschool Enrollment: Must be a resident of Fredericksburg City/King George County (need proof of address) and meet program eligibility requirements.

Preschool Programs Offer: Classes Monday-Friday from August-May, transportation to and from school, breakfast and lunch, highly qualified teachers and support staff. We offer comprehensive services for all children and families. Head Start in Fredericksburg Ages 3-5, Head Start in King George- 4 year olds, VPI- 4 year olds, ECSE ages 2-5. THERE IS NO APPLICATION OR TUITION FEE.

Completing an application for the program does not guarantee acceptance. Please be sure to answer all questions before submitting as missing information will delay processing your child's application. A face-to-face interview is required as part of the application process.

APPLICANT’S BIRTH VERIFICATION
Applications for birth certificates are available if needed.

VERIFICATION OF INCOME
This may be any of the following:
•Two most recent pay stubs (please specify if you are paid weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly or monthly).
• W-2 for each parent in the household.
• 1040 Tax Form for each parent in the household.
• Seasonal Workers – provide a statement from their employer.
• Families with no earned income – Complete a Family Assertion Statement.
• Income means gross cash income and includes earned income, military income (including pay and allowances), veterans’ benefits, Social Security benefits, unemployment compensation, SSI, Child Support and public assistance benefits (TANF) --*A copy of your monthly TANF statement --*A copy of your most recent award letter for SSI (Supplemental Security Income) that states how much you receive each month.

If applicable: VERIFICATION of SNAP(Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and WIC (Women, Infants, Children) BENEFITS
• Copy of your most recent statement and benefits card.
