Neighborhood House's Early Head Start, Head Start, and Home-based programs provide an opportunity for young children to learn, grow, and thrive. Our services provide environments that emphasize parents as their child's primary teachers, learning through play and meeting the needs of each individual child and their family. We work to enhance the learning experiences of everyone by embracing diversity and incorporating culturally and linguistically diverse curriculum into classrooms, home visits and other education opportunities. Our agency provides early childhood education experience though Head Start and Early Head Start Center-Based; and Early Head Start Home-Based (Prenatal through age 3). For Prenatal services, please apply though earlylearning@nhpdx.org or call us at 503.354.6775. We serve families residing in West Multnomah County only (SW and NW Portland). We provide up to 7.5 hours of classroom time Tuesday-Friday for center-based options. Our program does not provide any classroom hours on Mondays. Our programs are for income-eligible families and prioritize serving families that are at or below 130% Federally Poverty Level and up to a maximum of 250% Federal Poverty Level; TANF, SSI or SNAP recipients; families experiencing Houselessness; families with Foster children; and, families who have children with disabilities.
