Welcome to CPCD! Families who have children who will be 4-years-old by October 1 will be required to apply for Universal Preschool via the UPK state website. After completing CPCD's pre-application, you will be directed to that website. At that time, you will be able to select CPCD schools as your preferred choice through the application process. Make sure that you select the correct location where you would like your child to attend. If you are unsure, please wait until our enrollment team contacts you so we can help you through the process. Any family who wishes to register their 3-year-old child (EXCEPT FAMILIES RESIDING IN DISTRICT 2) who will be two years out from kindergarten in the fall (generally 3-years-old by October 1, 2024, but not four by October 1, 2024) must apply directly to their home school district and will NOT register in the UPK state website. The ONLY exception to this is for 3-year-olds who have an IEP. Families with 3-year-old children, residing in District 2, must apply directly with CPCD. Please proceed with the application and upload all required documents. Families with 3-year-old children, residing in all other districts (Districts, 3, 8, 11, 20 and 49,) may apply with CPCD if they meet Head Start eligibility guidelines ; however, there is limited availability.
