Thank you for your interest in applying for WHCH Head Start’s 2023/2024 school year, for children who will be three or four years old on or before January 1, 2024.
The primary adult should be the child's parent or legal guardian and the person financially responsible for the family.
To be considered for enrollment in West Haven Community House's Head Start program, all applicants must reside in West Haven, CT and be able to provide two current proof of residency, ie: utility bill, phone bill, rent receipt, mortgage statement or residential lease.

Thank you for completing this application. Once your application is submitted you will receive a call within 1-5 days to set up an intake appointment. For this appointment you will need the following documents: • Your Child’s Birth Certificate • A current physical and dental exam dated within the last year. • Two Current proofs of West Haven residency, i.e., Utility bill, Mortgage Statement or Rental Lease. • Current proof of income (choose one): 2022 tax return, 4 current weekly pay stubs or 2 current bi-weekly pay stubs SNAP card or approval letter, Social Security benefit letter, TANF cash assistance, unemployment benefit letter. • Medical Insurance Number for your child • Birth to Three information or IEP if your child has it • Care4Kids certificate if you have one.
