Head Start is a free early childhood program for children designed to promote school readiness for families that qualify. Our program serves children ages 3-5 and their families in Clay, Cooke, Montague, and Wichita Counties. Your child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before 9/1/24. Please complete the information below to begin the application process. If you need assistance for Wichita Falls, please call Haynes Head Start 940-235-1160. For all other schools, please call Region 9 at 940-322-6928 and ask for Head Start. If you have had a child in the Head Start program in previous years, please call your nearest Head Start location*. At the end of this application, you will have the opportunity to upload your child's birth certificate, ss card, shot record, proof of residency, insurance card, parent photo ID, and proof of income.
