Welcome to the Miami-Dade Head Start Program Online Application!

Age Requirements
We have two programs based on your child's age:
• Early Head Start: For children who are at least 2 months old and under 3 years old .
• Head Start Preschool: For children who are at least 3 years old and no older than 5 years old.

Important Note: If your child turns 3 after September 1st, please wait until your child's third birthday or later to submit an application.

Eligibility and Availability
Please know that being accepted into both the Head Start Preschool and Early Head Start programs depends on two things:
1. Your family meeting the eligibility requirements .
2. Whether or not there is an open spot (slot) available at the center.

Stop! If You Applied Before...
If you have already applied online, or if your child was enrolled in the program before (a returning parent), do NOT use this online form again.

Instead, please do one of the following:
1. Go directly to the center you want with all the necessary papers to apply.
2. Download the Head Start application from the Miami-Dade County website. Fill it out and take the completed application and all necessary papers directly to your chosen center.

We recommend that you call the center to schedule an appointment!
